Santorini Greece 9-27,10-3 |

Amazing. I had initially planned to get through the Greek Islands very quickly but Santorini has a way of making you stay. The place is stunning and the most stressful thing during the day is trying to figure out where you are going to catch the sunset. After a week, there were still a few of us that didn't want to leave. If you come stay in Oia or better yet, stay at George's place in Finikia. |

Here's our Hellas Flying Dolphin Ferry just after dropping us off in Santorini. The island is essentially a big volcanic blown up rock. on the right the wall is known as the Caldera and in the distance you can see the town of Fira. In the distance behind the boat is our home base of Oia/Finikia. What you don't see behind me are all the touts trying to convince you that they have THE room for you. Luckily, we stuck to our guns and George found us and took us to paradise-Finikia. |

Essentially Finikia is a neighborhood of windy streets and traditional white and blue cave-like houses. Nothing motorized can fit on the narrow streets so mules like Marika serve as Bellhops, transports and garbage trucks. We had a hortofaggos in our group so I was the only one that took advantage of Marika for my luggage. |

Reason number 110 to go digital, because you can shoot tons and tons of the same photo and you don't care. Between Matt and I, we probably have 100 sunset pictures (no joke). I am just going to load them up and let you decide if you want to come here. |

Santorini's villages hang on the the cliffs (caldera). This is the view going into our hometown of Oia, we did this walk many, many times and found all the good places to eat. |

Can you find the hortofaggos in this picture? Yup, its Carey, she's a vegetarian. |

I am not kidding, if you aren't playing with animals, looking for food, swimming at the beach, tasting some of the local wines, you stress about finding the right place to watch the sun go down. People applaud when it happens. |

Oia at night. Below the towns are some great fish restaurants on the water at Amoudi. |
