Prague 9-14,17
After Vienna, I was a bit worried about crossing into Prague, partially because my railpass didnt't work up there, it was a former communist state and the language is tough.  But no worries, in 10 years since the fall of the wall, Prague is definately capitalist which makes for easy touring.  The Architecture is awesome, Art Nouveau, neo-everything. If you ever come, stay in the Old Town, I figured that out after my first night but wound up getting a great room at the Betlem Club
This is Welenscas square in Prague's new town.  Basically every major uprising and demonstration in the last 200 years were sparked here.  The Communists decided not to pull a Tienamen Square during a 50,000 person protest and that ultimately led to the fall of communism in Prague.  Behind me is the new home of Radio Free Europe which the city rents out for 1 euro a year as thanks for all of the help the station provided during the communist years. This is the art Nuveau Hotel Europa.  The thing about Prague is that Art Deco and Nouveau were birthed here.  Right next to one building you could have a neo-renaissance, neo-baroque, neo-gothic, neo-rococco building, it makes it very interesting.  And yes I am starting to be able to tell the difference between all of the architectures. It only took me two months.
Goulash and the real Budweiser.  This Budweiser is much better than our stuff.
The Gothic Hall up at the Prague Castle.  They used this hall for everything, markets, banquets and even jousting matches.
Prague is supposed to have the best Jewish quarter in all of Europe but sadly the floods really hurt the synogogues, cemetery and museum.  Right in the center of the Jewish Quarter, Josefov (named after Franz Joseph because he liberated many of the Jews) is the intersection of two trading routes that criss-crossed Europe.
The famous Charles Bridge in B/W, what do you think? I will be an artist yet!  The bridge used to be the only one that connected what used to be two separate towns, the Old Town and The Little Town.  No they are all just Prague.
Here's a night shot in the middle of old town looking up at the Cool Gothic Tyn church.  They have the best Gothic stuff I have seen in Prague.
This is one of two rooms in the library above the castle.  I mean if I had a library like this when I was young I would have studied more, really.  Behind the gold doors in the back was the controversial books, you needed to ask the priest for permission to access them.  I guess Eminem's lyrics would be back their today.
