Norwegian Fjords 8-25,26 |
The real reason to come to Oslo is to get out to the Fjords. Stunning. Most tourists like me take a 2 trains, a boat, a bus and another train doing this route called Norway in a Nutshell. Its a spectacular route. The fjords are cut by receding glaciers and some are 4000 feet deep. I will let the pictures do most of talking. |

M.O.H is meters above sea level, the highest point on the first train leg. |
On the second train leg, you go screaming downhill over and through the mountains. They let you out to check out the waterfall and they say there are fairys around but I didn't see any. |

I decided to break the trip in 2 and spent the night in the sleepy town of Aurland. They say there are 1500 people that live here but I saw about 8. It was so quiet I fell asleep at 7. They just opened the longest tunnel in the world here at 24km. |
