I stayed in a town called Dun Laoghaire (pronounced dun leery) to get out of the big city. Boy am i glad I did 'cause check out this view! The room was BIG and just OK but Mrs. Connely was a riot and essentially adopted me for a few days. |

Here's a view of the same harbor around the corner. Kind of reminds you of Pacific Grove huh? At the far far end is the James Joyce tower which was the scene for one of his books. Don't worry, I know he's real famous but I couldn't really get into him while I was here either. Nonetheless he view is worth the shot. |

It's sad but I only have a few pics of Dublin and this is one of them. Don't mind the bottles, check out the mini leprechans (sp?) next to the radio. They are dancing and for the life of me I couldn't figure out how they were doing it. |

I did this great walking tour in Dublin with a history graduate student whose whole dissertation is about the year 1640 in Dublin. This is the year that the Queen of England decided that 2 religions was one to many and adopted the policy of enticing farmers from England to settle on Plantations in the North of Ireland. Very similar situation to Israel today and was/is the cause of a lot of strife between the north and the south. Nonetheless, this is the library at Trinity college. Photos are illegal so don't tell anyone you saw this. |
